Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots

Solid Snake is back, but sadly for the last time. Acclaimed game designer, Hideo Kojima has said that Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots will be the last Metal Gear game in the series, and the last one starring Solid Snake. Unless you’ve been living under a rock and are a complete noob to gaming, the MGS series offers some of the best stealth action there is. Kojima approaches gaming with convoluted, drawn out, uber dramatic cut scenes and sequences, and that has been the appeal of the series to many. It’s avant-garde gaming at its finest.

Without giving away any spoilers, you play as Old Snake and the game takes place in 2014. You will be equipped with a new camouflage suit system called “Octocamo”, which allows Snake to blend into any surrounding within seconds. A monocular device called “Solid Eye” replaces binoculars from the previous games. The single player campaign looks breathtaking.

In addition to the single player campaign, the game will also include a multi-player component called Metal Gear Online (MGO). MGO will feature up to 16 player online stealth battles. Kojima will eventually release MGO as a standalone title.
