RNYK: Do you have a particular favorite or favorites among your recordings?
NS: My albums “Classically Sedaka”, “Brighton Beach Memories” (My Yiddish album), and “Sedaka’s Back“.
RNYK: Many other people have recorded your songs, including some that you never recorded. Do you have a favorite among these versions?
NS: “Love Will Keep Us Together” as recorded by The Captain and Tennille. Solitaire, as recorded by Shirley Bassey, as well as Sissel Kyrkjebo.
RNYK: How do you feel about performing live now as opposed to when you first started out?
NS: I am more secure. I am enjoying it more. People come to hear the songs that they grew up with, and I have a bigger repertoire to perform.
RNYK: Do you stay in touch with any of your peers from the early days?
NS: Jay Siegel from The Tokens, Dion Dimucci, Frankie Valli & Connie Francis.
RNYK: Are there any current performers that you’re particularly fond of that you’d like to hear one of your songs recorded by?
NS: Christina Aguilera, John Mayer & Corrine Bailey Rae.
