New CD Releases
Two of the world’s most popular singers released new albums. Jennifer Lopez (who’s insisting that she’s no longer J.Lo) just put out her first all-Spanish album, Como Ama Un Mujer. It means “How A Woman Loves,” for those of you who’ve somehow managed to live in the city without picking up any Spanish.
The lovely Beyonce re-released last year’s B’Day in a Deluxe edition. B’Day Deluxe has alternate versions and a song from Dreamgirls.
Women are in the spotlight this week, as Joss Stone’s Introducing Joss Stone gives us great bubblegum soul with modern touches.
Alison Kraus graces us with gorgeous, lilting country singing on A Hundred Miles Or More: A Collection.
There’s some testosterone in the mix, though. Good Charlotte’s latest dose of emo-pop-punk, Good Morning Revival just dropped.
So did the latest by Timbaland, Timbaland Presents Shock Value. Tim’s working with everyone from 50 Cent to The Hives here - even Elton John, who just released a collection. Rocket Man: Number Ones brings together the biggest hits by one of pop music’s biggest names.
