New in Hi-Def: Blu-ray and HD-DVD

New Yorkers can expect to see new high-definition DVD recordings at the video stores very soon. They’re ready to deliver optimal results on your widescreen HDTV sets. There are two formats: HD-DVD and Blu-Ray. HD-DVD will arrive around May and Blu-Ray in June. To get full high-definition, these new disc formats must be played on an HD-DVD or Blu-Ray (BD) disc player. Both players also handle all current DVD and CD formats. See Blu-Ray Demo.
