Nine Inch Nails Releases Ghosts I-IV

NIN Ghosts

Nine Inch Nails
is one of the most popular and groundbreaking electronic artists of the past 20 years, consistently putting out albums that push the envelope both in terms of music and lyrics. Front man Trent Reznor is an infamous perfectionist, slaving away for countless hours in his studio to make sure everything sounds exactly how he wants it. And now, with their latest album, they’ve broken new ground yet again.

Ghosts I-IV came out of nowhere last month, released on the internet with no advanced warning whatsoever. It’s an epic, completely instrumental album, one that moves away from the more rock-based albums that the band has recently released. Instead, it sounds more like a movie soundtrack, with songs that range from sounding like a standard Nine Inch Nails song with no lyrics to simpler piano-based songs and more ambient pieces. And if you’re not big on the downloading game, now you can grab the album in traditional CD form.
