Nokia’s N800 Internet Tablet Keeps You Online Sans Computer

Nokia N800

Nokia’s new N800 N-Series Internet Tablet is one of the best ways around to get online without carrying around a bulky laptop or having to use the tiny buttons on your cellphone. It’s designed for surfing the web, and it does its job well.

The svelte design holds a generous 4.13-inch screen for supporting your MySpace addiction and letting you check email. It can work as a Skype phone, allowing you to make cheap/free calls over the web as well. It makes up for its lack of a fold out keyboard by providing a touchscreen one that’ll pop up when needed. It feels really great in your hands and the button placement feels much more natural than previous models. The battery will give you a decent 5 to 6 hours of surf time between recharges, and comes loaded with software for doing stuff like keeping track of RSS feeds and listening to Internet radio. Not a bad way to stay connected without needing to lug an entire computer around.
