Ocean’s 13 Delivers What It Promises

At this point, you probably know what you’re gonna get with an Ocean’s movie. There’s going to be a cavalcade of celebrities, some fast editing, sassy lines, a heist or con of some time, and a nice breezy feeling throughout the whole thing. Sure, it’s not gonna win any Oscars or change your life, but not every movie has to, right? If you’re looking for a fun popcorn movie, you could do a lot worse than Ocean’s 13.

It’s got all the stars that you’re expecting: George! Brad! Matt! Al Pacino for some reason! It’s got Steven Soderbergh’s trademark editing style and pacing and another fun script that tears through Vegas for a third time. Sure, it’d be more than questionable for them to pump out an Ocean’s 14, as you can see the formula starting to wear a little thin, but it’s still a good formula. If you want a break for all the heady, “important” movies this Oscar season, go ahead and check out Ocean’s 13 for a good time that won’t leave you feeling bad about the state of the world.
