Olympus Brings the Quality for Cheap

Olympus Stylus 1000

It’s amazing how quickly technology moves. A year ago, a 10-megapixel camera wasn’t even available, and if it was it would have cost nearly a thousand dollars. Now? 10 megapixels are old hat. You can get a 10-megapixel point-and-shoot camera for under $200. How crazy is that?

This Olympus Stylus 1000 10 Megapixel Digital Camera is the offender in question, a sweet little shooter with a 10-megapixel sensor. It’s got a 2.5-inch LCD screen for making sure your shots are up to snuff, and it’s got all-weather seals to make sure it won’t go kaput if you get splashed by a cab driving through a puddle when you’re trying to take a picture. Basically, it’s an all-around awesome little camera, one you’d be happy carrying around with you wherever you go, and it just so happens to have quality that would have blown your mind a year or two ago. Not too shabby.
