Prince of Persia series have been revamped for the current generation consoles. In terms of the plot, this new Prince is no regal character. He’s a wanderer and vagabond. The story begins shortly after he returns from one of his lucrative expeditions. Richened with loot and treasure, he dreams about spending his fortunes on women and liquor when out of no where he is swept away by a sandstorm. He lands in a mythical garden of beauty with a humongous tree of life in the center. In the garden with him is a beautiful woman named Elika. Like him, she is stranded in the garden. They decide to team up together to defeat the ancient God of Darkness, Ahriman.
Ahriman destroyed the tree of life and is spreading darkness and evil across the land. The Prince and Elika vow drive him away and rid the world of his brand of evil.
The game will be available on the 360, PS3 and PC.
It’s no secret, we here at J&R hold vinyl in very high regard. We love it. Not just because it’s an excellent medium for music playback, which it certainly is. We love vinyl because J&R started out as a company in 1971 selling vinyl. Here we are 37 years later, and after many formats have come and gone, vinyl is still here. Can anyone say staying power?
In honor of our long history with vinyl, we have decided to put all vinyl on sale. Click here for selections.
In addition to the selection on the website, we have many LPs, including seasonal titles that are only available in the music store. So for those of you who are local, feel free to come on down and look through our selection, or talk shop with our knowledgeable staff.
Check out a few snaps of the vinyl store in the slideshow below.
So you thought the savings were done after Black Friday, huh? Think again my friends. J&R is committed to bringing you quality goods and rockbottom prices. What better way is there to start the work week that with savings?
“I didn’t set out to make a two part album,” Yamagata says. “We just followed the songs’ lyrical lead and built them up with textures and sounds that served the story. The beautiful ones were darker and worked with lush arrangements. We used the sounds of rain, tree branches falling on the roof — whatever kept the mood true to this haunted studio in the first stormy days of spring. The second part became more anthemic, like a reclaiming of personal power. There’s something raw about it. To me it sounds weathered, but not broken or cynical.”
