Philips Unveils Its Newest Portable Audio Player

Philips hopes you’ll peel your eyes away from Apple’s offerings long enough to consider their shiny new SA9345 Media Player. Measuring in at a mere third of an inch thick and 3.5 inches tall, you’ll barely feel it in your pocket while you’re out and about. It comes in both 2 and 4 GB varieties, depending on how much music you want to tote with you, and it has a 1.8-inch LCD screen for scrolling through your collection.

The controls on the front are touch-sensitive, which may take a bit of getting used to but sure look nice. Overall, it’s a really sleek-looking portable media player, albeit one that doesn’t have any killer features to steal too many customers away from the 200lb gorilla in the field of portable audio.
