Planet Terror Heads to DVD

Grindhouse, Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez’s pulp double-feature, is being released as two separate movies now that they’re hitting DVD. Death Proof, Tarantino’s flick, already came out, and now it’s Planet Terror’s turn.

An over-the-top zombie gross-out flick, it’s chock full of all the blood and guts that zombie-lovers crave. Featuring such stars as Bruce Willis, Six Feet Under’s Freddy Rodriguez, and, perhaps most memorably, Rose McGowan as a bombshell that has her leg replaced with a machine gun, which she then handles quite admirably. So yes, Planet Terror is a ludicrous movie, not even a little bit realistic and full of over-the-top disgusting moments. But that’s the point. It’s a hell of a ride if you’re willing to give in to what the movie’s all about, and if you’re even a little bit of a fan of gore or zombie flicks, you won’t be disappointed.
