Play Games on Your Video Camera

DXG-589 Video Camera

You’ve gotta love gadget convergence. With everything from phones to cameras to video games being shrunk down to near-impossible sizes, the new trend is for companies to creatively combine multiple gadgets into one device. After all, there’s a limit as to how small something can be before it ceases to be useful. With that in mind, take a gander at the DXG-589V.

First and foremost, it’s a digital video camera. It shoots in TV-quality 640×480 video at 30 frames per second and can also take 5-megapixel still pictures. But, oddly enough, when you flip out the 3-inch LCD screen you’ll find what look eerily similar to Playstation controller buttons. That’s because this bad boy is loaded up with 20 video games, allowing you to flip it on its side and use it as a portable gaming device. There aren’t much in the way of details available when it comes to the games themselves, but they don’t exactly look cutting edge. But hey, when you’re rockin’ games on your video camera, who cares how recent they are? It’s convergence, baby!
