I have recorded several of Professor Steen's lengthy, verbose, yawn inducing orations using the Zoom H2 with tremendous results. This is perfect for the sneaky student who has trouble fighting off sleep while suffering the long winded speeches of their educators. <br>I am also a singer/songwriter, and this device is an invaluable tool for capturing sound. I load all my recordings into my laptop, and using an audio mixing program, I mix Professor Steen's copyrighted lectures into the background of my musical compositions. It's simply amazing! After a few post-effects, even Ivan's voice sounds angelic.

Yeah Ivan, we wouldn't want their parents, the people who pay the bills, to ever know what kind of socialist BS you're trying to ram down their throats now would we? We certainly wouldn't want anyone to be able to prove it. Look what happened to Nixon. Wait a second, he was a Republican. That's OK.

I am one of those college professors whose lectures you are advising students to record. I think you should point out to them that recording lectures without prior permission may well be a violation of copyright law. Beyond that, it is incredibly discourteous to record anyone's speech without their knowledge.

This is a fantastic tool for musicians. I've had a Sony MiniDisc recorder for nearly 10 years now, and the H2 Zoom is a HUGE relief since I don't have to go through any intermediate steps to get my recordings transferred to my computer as mp3s (or wav files).

I've had my H2 Zoom for a couple weeks and have recorded several rehearsals, a few gigs, and my individual practice at home, and the results are every bit as good as (if not better than) my MD. Plus, there is far less hassle and/or stuff to keep track of, since the mics are built in (and extremely good quality, I might add).

I am going to require all my students to get one of these. It's by far the simplest and best way yet to get an accurate representation of the way we sound, and that's the ultimate learning tool for a musician!
