Rock and Roll Hall of Fame comes to the Big Apple

Mayor Michael Bloomberg, along with Billy Joel and music mogul Clive Davis are expected to announce that the Cleveland-based Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum will be opening an annex here in downtown Manhattan. The announcement will take place in Soho, the future site of the annex.
The 25,000 square foot New York City annex is one of many branch annexes that museum officials have planned. Future sites include Las Vegas and an unnamed city in the Middle East.
Planned exhibits for the New York annex will include New York based musicians like Billy Joel, as well as musically significant locations around the city like Studio 54 and the Chelsea Hotel.
The New York annex will be open for a minimum of two years.
