Slingbox Comes to the PalmOS

Slingbox Comes to the PalmOS

Man, I think I was born about 15 years too early. I remember going on long car trips with my parents and just dying for some entertainment. I have distinct memories of fantasizing about having my first true love, television, somehow hooked up in the back seat of the car with me. In my mind I envisioned some crazy contraption that connected our car to the powerlines we were driving next to, but clearly that wasn’t the most efficient way to solve my problem.

And now here I am, living in NYC and never having to sit in the back seat of my parents’ Ford Taurus to go visit my grandparents, and now you can watch TV from anywhere. With Slingbox’s new software for PalmOS, you can watch any of your cable or satellite channels that you enjoy at home on your Palm handheld device. You can even control your TiVo, which is another one of those inventions I really would have appreciated in my formative years. Ah well, at least I know that my kids, when I get around to having them, will grow up in a world where they are never left to entertain themselves, even for a second. God bless America.
