Sony Ericsson and Fossil Put Bluetooth in a Watch

Sony Ericsson, phone maker extraordinaire, and Fossil, watch builders, have teamed up to create the MBW-150, perhaps the first normal-looking watch with the guts of a watch only a Linux-loving nerd would wear. While it may look like an unassuming analog watch, it’s got Bluetooth inside that allows it to sync up with your phone.

What good can a watch do when connected to a phone? Well, for one, when your phone rings you’ll be able to feel the vibration on your wrist and see who’s calling you on the tiny caller ID display. You can then ignore the call and send it to voicemail right from your watch, leaving your phone in your pocket the entire time. Pretty cool, eh? And since it looks like a regular old watch, you won’t need to worry about looking like some sort of robot-building supergeek when you wear it around. It’s just technology invisibly making your life better, the way it should be.
