Sony’s latest mobile audio player is… interesting. Dubbed the Rolly, this clever little guy has flip-out speakers that’ll share your music with everyone around. In addition to that, it has wheels and can autonomously scoot around your pad to the beat of your music.
In addition, the 1GB player can be controlled with motion. You can change the volume by turning the player, skip tracks by rolling it in one direction or another or just shaking it. It’s certainly a lot different than your iPod, but whether or not it’s an improvement is up in the air. For about $350, you’re paying dearly for the neato form factor and unique controls, but it’s nothing you’ll really want to carry around with you due to the awkward, bulky shape. Personally, I’ll be sticking with my iPod, but your mileage may vary.
