Though winter is upon us, spring is just around the corner. Sennheiser and Adidas are partnering to produce new earphones to address the needs of joggers and sprinters ready to take on the roads again. These earphones combine top-quality sound, excellent wearing comfort and insensitivity towards external influences such as water, sweat and cold. These two renowned companies are launching their new cooperation with a total of four earphone models that have been specially designed for sports applications. This partnership is yet another inducement to extend your New Years resolution for fitness further into the year ahead. Combining great sound and prime athletic footwear and gear, you’re ready to tackle your goals.
The Sennheiser CX 680 sports headphones won the prestigious CES Innovations Award at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. The ear-canal phones from Sennheiser and Adidas impressed the interdisciplinary jury in the “Headphones” category. The award-winning headphones were presented to an international audience for the first time at the trade show from January 7-10, 2010.
The earphones are ideal even for the toughest training sessions: their sturdy and hardwearing materials make the earphones insensitive to strong vibrations, for example during jogging. They can also withstand cold and moisture: their fiber-reinforced cable still remains soft and flexible even at frigid temperatures. An innovative protection system against moisture not only effectively repels sweat but also protects the internal components of the earphones against rainwater. After a training session, the earphones can simply be rinsed off under the tap.
The CX 680 is part of the Sennheiser/Adidas sport line. Other earphones in the line include the MX680 (Earbud), OMX680 (Earclip), and PMX680 (Earbud with Neckband).
Sennheiser has been very successful with sports headphones in the consumer electronics market for many years. Together with Adidas, the audio specialist now wants to further extend its leading position and to focus even more strongly on the sports market. The two cooperation partners have succeeded in optimally combining their expertise in the development of the new sports headphones. The MX 680, CX 680, OMX 680 and PMX 680 models feature exceptional sound quality and maximum sports functionality.
These models will be available in electronic stores like J&R Music World, online at JR.com and from Adidas athletic dealers, around February 2010.
