Stan Lee Greets Fans at J&R

We were graced with the presence of Stan “The Man” Lee. You already knew about that if you’ve been following our site. In case you didn’t know, or didn’t turn up, here’s what you missed. The crowd was great; turnout was huge. We were amazed at how many people hold Stan’s creations near & dear. “The Man” could only stay for an hour, so J&R had kept the line moving by telling people they could only get their copies of Stan’s latest DVDs signed. This didn’t seems to cause a problem; everyone had their copies of Mosaic and The Condor ready to go. The crowd seemed pretty happy; everyone walked away with a smile and a picture.

The age range was a surprise too - we saw 6, 8 & 13 year old kids and men in their 40s. Just goes to show the staying power of the classic stories he wrote. “The Man” seemed pretty happy to meet his fans, too. He even gave a shout-out to the store for having him, with his old trademark exclamation from the comics, “Excelisor!”. We’re pleased to have him and we hope he comes back soon.
