Super Mario Galaxy Finally Arrives on the Wii

It’s been a long time coming, what with the Nintendo Wii having been out for over a year at this point, but Mario is finally coming to the hot next-gen Nintendo system. It’s the first time he hasn’t been there right at a console’s launch, but it looks like it’s been well worth the wait.
That’s because Super Mario Galaxy looks to be the best Mario game since Super Mario 64 defined 3D platform games over 10 years ago on the Nintendo 64. Rather than running around on a flat surface, Super Mario Galaxy has you jumping around between little planets that you can run all the way around. It’s trippy, unique, and uses the motion-sensing Wiimote to great effect to help you control our little plumber friend in this new, brain-twisting environment. In addition, there are new transformations that you’ll be privy to, such as Bee Mario and Boo Mario. In the end, there’s only one thing you really need to know: it’s a new Mario game. What else do you need?
