Super Smash Bros. Brawl Coming to the Wii

Super Smash Bros

You know not every fun party game available for consoles involves a bunch of fake instruments, despite what the makers of Rock Band and Guitar Hero III want you to think. No, there are a few non-music party games out there that are just as fun as the music ones, and the granddaddy of those has got to be Super Smash Bros. And guess what? There’s a new entry in the venerable series headed to the Nintendo Wii next month.

Yep, it’s called Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and it’s sure to make you forget all about your guitar playing exploits. It’s a pretty simple premise: you take on the role of one of many famous Nintendo characters, be it Mario, Samus or Kirby, and then proceed to try to lay the smack down on everybody else you’re playing with. Every character has special abilities and weapons, and the battles get over the top and ridiculous very fast, making for a crazy, fun time. Sure, you won’t get to pretend to be Keith Richards, but there’s more to life than pretending to be a rock star.
