At CES 2010, the big promotion was the release of 3D TV. While HDTV is jumping to 3D HDTV by the end of 2010, customers appear to be lagging behind the complementary sound systems. HDTV carries 5.1 channels of surround sound while Blu-ray is capable of delivering up to 7.1 channels. Sony, one of the few remaining TV manufacturers that still offers an audio component line, plans to introduce a new audio receiver with 3D pass-through technology during the middle of 2010, as 3D TV models are being introduced. All models plan to be available at J&R Music World www.jr.com.
Featuring HDMI 1.4 3D pass-through technology, ample high definition connectivity and compatibility with all of the latest Blu-ray Disc audio formats, the new STR-DN1010 A/V receiver is designed to create a simple solution for controlling any high definition or 3D capable home theater.

Among the promising new products introduced at CES 2010, portable digital media tablets were buzzing loud. Unlike most MP3 players, these touchscreen tablets deliver larger screen sizes for more diverse viewing applications from videos to books.
Cinepal, from Aluratek has a large, bright 8.9-inch widescreen that is touch-sensitive. It has 4GB built-in memory and has a slot for SD/SDHC memory cards for adding content expansion. It can download virtually any type of audio, video, and eBook file through its built-in USB slot.
The Cinepal does not allow broadband or WiFi Internet access, which distinguishes it from the Sony Dash, due around spring, that is Internet embedded. Yet Cinepal has loads of strengths you won’t find on a broadband pad. The Cinepal does focus on bringing you a PMP (Portable Media Player) that delivers superb audio and sparkling video with a large screen experience that is 720p capable of delivering high-definition viewing. Mount Olympus is considered the highest mountain in Greece. The Greek gods were supposed to have lived there. At its peak lived Zeus, king of all gods. Many adventures took place on Mount Olympus to fill Greek mythology with virtually endless legends of might and folly. That is why it’s so appropriate that the tough series of Olympus Stylus cameras are so popular. It’s also why the new Olympus Tough-3000 is making such a big splash at CES 2010. It is geared for wild living outdoors from mountains to valleys (and oceans white with foam).
For some, life is an adventure - an active series of events. Hike, bike, and tour with no fear of damaging your camera all year, in any season. Olympus unveils the Olympus Stylus Tough-3000, a 12 Megapixel, waterproof, and freezeproof compact camera at CES 2010. Continue Reading »
The competitive onslaught of 3D HDTV technologies almost overshadowed anything else at CES 2010. But the Fujifilm Finepix Real 3D W1 is the first digital camera to let you take 3D pictures and movies.
3D is a human concept. Two eyes in front of our head are slightly different and offer two perspectives of vision. When both left and right field perception is processed, a third dimension appears, a sense of depth. It allows us to climb, hunt, conceptualize, leap, and throw with precision and accuracy. Without that third dimension, our round world might appear flat. 3D is a complex neuroptical system of processes yet it is how we assign our view of reality. Our quest to capture realism in imagery is the obsession of attaining 3D, even as a mirror of reality. Fujifilm Finepix Real 3D W1 is a 3D camera system that helps us grasp reality in our images.

Many people prefer mounting their flat-screen HDTV to a wall and Peerless mounts are the preferred brand.
When flat-screen TV models were introduced, many customers were asking for adjustable wall mounts that were almost flush with the wall surface. The objective was a mount that closely resembled a picture frame. Until now, most articulating TV mounts only got as close as about 3 inches off the wall’s surface. As LCD and (especially) LED HDTV screens begin to get thinner, the engineers at Peerless Industries re-developed the TV mount design to accommodate them. In addition, the designs incorporate features that adjust for odd shaped rooms and viewing situations. The new mounts are being unveiled at CES 2010 in Las Vegas.
Peerless Industries’ new Slimline Ultra-Slim Articulating Wall Arm Mounts shrink that gap to just 1 inch, holding the TV nearly flush to the wall for a space-saving designer look while allowing the screen to be positioned for full visibility wherever viewers are sitting.
