  • Could this be the Desk of the Future?

Okay so we spend copious amounts of time at our desks usually on Facebook or watching the latest video on YouTube. I was doing the latter when I came across the oddest of all items. It’s called the EXOdesk created by Canadian company EXOPC. I hopped on over to their website and took a look around. Currently this company makes two slates but the EXOdesk has to be seen to be believed. This 40-inch transparent HD touchscreen desk just might revolutionize the modern workspace. Take a look at the EXOdesk in this short video and try not to drool while you’re at it.

The Helmet Hero is a small wearable camera that shoots at 1080p and takes still images at a great 5MP resolution.

  • Three New Hard Drives From Western Digital

When it comes to hard drives, Western Digital is an industry leader, and that’s why their products come highly recommended by us. They recently released three hard drives that caught my attention.

The first hard drive is the My Passport Essential 320GB Portable HD. Like the name suggests, it’s a portable USB drive. There is no need for a separate power supply since the drive is directly powered via the USB port. How cool is that? Don’t let the sleek aesthetics fool you though, this little drive is quite the performer. It comes with the WD SmartWare software that automatically and continuously backs up your data, while giving you a visual display of your backup as it happens. File restoration is a breeze. Password protection and hardware-based encryption are also available for an extra measure of security.

Now there are many home-theater in a box (HTiB) sound systems available but many home owners are reluctant to place speakers front and rear within the traditional surround set-up. JVC introduced a marvelous new system, at CEDIA 2009 USA, that will change all that.
