  • The History Behind “First Templar”

You shall know the truth. The Truth will set you free.

The crusades were marches into Arabia, the Ottoman Empire, in quests by Christianity to convert the Moors. The Knights Templar is a Christian-oriented fraternal organization that was founded in the 11th century. The area had seen a number of religions from Judaism to pagan types. During this era, the foundations of Islam originated and formerly disunited people became warriors against Christianity and its expansion. These groups often clashed and Christians wanted to protect themselves.

Originally, the Knights Templar was a group of laymen who protected and defended Christians travelling to Jerusalem. These men took vows of poverty, chastity and obedience, and were renowned for their fierceness and courage in battle. The adventures of these knights, true or false, show unwaving bravery of defending might and right. The First Templar is a game for PC and X360. It covers the earlier years of the Templars - the formation, early adventures, and evolutions through peace and imminent dangers in contrast with the formation of the church.

  • Dark Void for PC X360 and PS3 Release January 19

You’re days away from the darkest struggle for survival as the world around you and reality as you knew it, plummets into the dark void. The much-anticipated video game from Capcom is coming to Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. Can you save Earth against perilous, ancient visitors who want to reclaim it? The Dark Void awaits your visit.

Something is consuming our universe, a vast and ancient force almost beyond our comprehension. Millions of years ago, the minions of that power found their way to the 3rd planet of an unremarkable yellow star. Ours. The race they created came to call their masters “The Watchers.” For millennia we knew them as gods and served their dark purposes, but a few humans developed extraordinary powers. They were known as the Adepts and they rose up, banishing The Watchers into a parallel universe, where they’ve manipulated and schemed from afar. That is, of course, until now.

  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Has Arrived

The long wait is finally over. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is finally here. Modern Warfare 2 is the sequel to the critically acclaimed Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Modern Warfare 2 picks up a few years after the first game. Like all veteran COD players know, you get to traverse various locales in the different mission settings. You will fight in Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Brazil and a bombed out Washington D.C. The single player is brief and intense.

After the single player campaign, grab a partner and jump into the Special Ops mode. It’s a cooperative mode that uses locales from the single player not related to that campaign. You can play Special Ops alone, but what fun is that? Coop is definitely the preferred way to play this mode.

  • WD TV Mini Media Player - Streaming Made Simple

It’s hard to believe that it’s almost been a year since I blogged about the WD TV HD media player. I was really impressed by it, especially at the asking price. Never one to rest on their laurels, Western Digital went back to the lab, and they came out with the WD TV Mini. Think of the WD TV Mini as the little brother of the WD TV HD. Little brother might be a bit of a misnomer, since the Mini is a competent media streamer in its own right.
