Keeping your mouth free of cavities is serious business. I mean, the dentist’s office is basically the worst, most unhappy place on earth, so anything you can do to stay as far away as possible is probably a good idea. So why are you still brushing with a regular old toothbrush? There have been advances in toothbrush technology, don’t you know.
The latest advance is the Sonicare Flexcare UV. It’s a Sonicare electric toothbrush, so it uses vibrating bristles to get your teeth clean, but it also goes a step further. It has a little UV device that you stick the heads in when not in use. When they’re in there, they’ll get blasted with UV radiation, killing 99% of germs that love to hang out there. That way every time you go to brush your teeth, you can be confident that you aren’t sticking a soggy bacteria hotspot in your mouth, which is a nice feeling. Floss sucks. You know that, right? Sure, your dentist always bugs you to use floss, but in reality it doesn’t do all that much. It’s just a little string, after all. How much good could it do? Plus, it hurts and is annoying and time consuming. If you really want to get the tight spots between your teeth clean, you need a bit more than some thin string.
How about a Waterpik WP-100 Ultra Dental Water Jet? Rather than just hoping you can coax plaque out by rubbing it with some string, you can blast it right out of your mouth with a burst of water. Even better, it’s gentler on your gums so you won’t cut them all up every time you decide to go nuts on oral hygiene. Your mouth will feel cleaner because it’ll actually be cleaner, and you won’t have to mess with any more stupid floss. Seems like a good deal to me.
Apparently, body hair is out. While back when Burt Reynolds was a sex symbol his homemade sweater might have made the ladies swoon, you probably won’t be breaking any hearts by losing some of the fur this year. While it might be kind of an awkward thing to talk about, Norelco isn’t holding back. They’re [...]
