The popularity of Apple’s iPod was a left hook at Sony and then the iPad was the solid punch that brought Sony to its knees. It wasn’t a TKO. Sony was never defeated. Now Sony comes back with an Android JellyBean tablet that is the lightest and thinnest 10.1” tablet available. Ever think that life is all about convergence? Last year, as notebooks became thinner and lighter, and more PC notebooks were transitioning to Ultrabooks, manufacturers came up with a neat design. Why not create notebooks that can transform to tablets? These were not tablets in a traditional sense because the processors and operating systems are closer to traditional notebooks. We came to call these Convertible Notebooks. Asus introduces a Transformer as an All-in-One (AiO) desktop PC (due in stock in May 2013).
