The Bigs Juices Up Baseball

When it comes to sports games, you have basically two options. You can go for an ultra-realistic simulation that puts you in the coach’s position, requiring you to deal with stats, facts, and figures. A game that’ll make you play a full season of a sport in order to get everything out of it, dealing with things like injuries and trades. Or you could go with an arcade-style game that just focuses on fun. Call me crazy, but managing a baseball team sounds like a stressful job. When I play games, I don’t want to take on some other guy’s stressful job. That’s why I go for the arcade games.

The Bigs is just that: a larger-than-life version of baseball that you’d never see on ESPN. It’s got gigantic ballparks, over-the-top players, and crazy moves and power-ups that add a whole new level of fun to the sport. So sure, you could push numbers around when you’re supposed to be having fun, or your could hit a 800-foot home run. The choice is yours.
