The Bus Starts Here

Bustour

The Consumer Electronic Association (CEA) started their 30-city bus tour promoting International Trade today at J&R.

The event was kicked off by a lively group of Colombian dancers who entertained the press and gathering crowd with their traditional dances.

Speakers on hand for the event were J&R CEO Rachelle Friedman, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, CEA President Gary Shapiro, Colombia Consul General Francisco Noguera and Nancy Ploeger from The Manhattan Chamber of Commerce.

The chief focus of the tour is to promote and embrace free trade to American companies and workers, and to move away from the notion that foreign trade is a threat to the US Economy.

Rachelle Friedman emphasized the importance of Consumer Electronics in NY citing that it provided 9.4% of the employment and poured in over 100 Billion Dollars into the GDP.

The next stop on the bus tour will be Washington DC.
