The Classic Myst Comes to the Nintendo DS

Myst was one of the first great 3D computer games, one that made its mark with absolutely stunning 3D rendered environments that were, at the time, revolutionary. And now, 15 years since it was originally released, it still stands on its own as an engrossing and challenging adventure game. The best news? It’s coming to the Nintendo DS, delivering the Myst experience to a whole new generation of gamers.

The game places you, The Stranger, on the island of Myst. It’s a mysterious place (hence the name, duh), one full of secrets just waiting to be unlocked. You use enchanted books written by an explorer named Atrus to travel between different “ages,” all which help unravel the mysteries of the island. You’ll have to decipher several puzzles to complete the game, and depending on the choices you make you may see one of several different endings. The best selling computer game ever until the release of The Sims, Myst is an amazing piece of work that really stands the test of time. If you’ve never been to this magical island, now’s the perfect opportunity for your first journey.
