The French Press: A New Yorker’s Coffee Choice

Bodum French Press

Being a New Yorker, space is one of the things I value above most other things. Seeing we all pay exorbitant prices per square foot for living space in this city, any appliance that wants to take up some of that precious space had better be well worth it. As someone who also likes his coffee strong and flavorful, I love killing two birds with one stone with this Bodum Chambord French Press Coffee Maker.

First of all, it’s small. Much smaller than your standard coffee maker, it takes up less room and is therefore more valuable that your regular brewing pot. Secondly, it makes downright delicious coffee. The French press method, which involves pouring boiling water onto some fresh coffee grounds, allowing them to steep, and them filtering the grounds from the water, lets more of the flavor get into your joe. And hey, it doesn’t require electricity, so if you’re worried about saving the environment, you’ve got a third reason to get on board. What’s stopping you?
