Turok Delivers Dinosaur-Hunting Fun

Turok the Dinosaur Hunter was one of the most fun and polished first person shooters on the Nintendo 64 console, amassing a large fanbase built around the strange prehistory meets the future storyline. So it was only a matter of time before Turok came back in a brand new game, which is just what he’s doing with Turok, arriving next week for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.

The game takes place on some kind of crazy planet that has dinosaurs, aliens, and soldiers who are trying to kill you. Kind of a lousy place to be, but I guess you wouldn’t want to be on a boring, relaxing island, as that wouldn’t make the game all that much fun. Anyhow, you get a whole arsenal of weapons at your disposal to take on your various foes, and you get to decide if you want to take out that pesky raptor with a rocket launcher or by sneaking up and using a knife. Personally, if I was up against a dinosaur, I’d choose the rocket launcher, but different strokes for different folks.
