If you were a fan of the epic action-RPG Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, arguably one of the best games of the past few years, then you should be eagerly anticipating Two Worlds, coming next month to the PC and Xbox 360. It’s similar in that it places you in a gigantic world and offers you a cornucopia of sidequests to embark on if you wish, or you can head straight for the main quest. In fact, the world of Two Worlds is even bigger than that of Oblivion: a whopping 22 square virtual miles.
What makes Two Worlds unique is that the entire story changes based on the decisions you make. If you decide to ignore a villages cry for help when they’re being attacked, the next time you pass by their village may be permanently burned to the ground. Rather than having you pushed through a linear story, it allows you to really shape the fate of the world around you, which is an exciting prospect. It should prove to move the action-RPG genre forward in a big way, so set some time aside for it come August 22.
