If you’re a business traveler who frequently takes trips outside of the country, you know that most cell phones stop working when they hit European and Asian networks. It’s an annoying fact of life. What’s one to do?
Well, the new Samsung Ace answers that question by offering functionality on both American CDMA networks as well as European GSM networks. It does this by allowing you to insert two different SIM cards. So when you go to Europe, you can pop in a pay per use rental SIM and use your phone wherever you go, popping it out when you leave to get continuous U.S. functionality.
In addition to working overseas, the Ace has a full QWERTY keyboard, Windows Mobile 6.1, a 1.3 megapixel camera and can be used as an EVDO modem if plugged into your computer. It’s loaded to the gills with features, all of which work no matter where you are. You can ask for much more than that.
