When looking to buy a new monitor, sometimes it can be hard to differentiate between all the different models from all sorts of different companies. What stats should you look for? Which brands are more reputable? Unless you follow these sorts of things for fun in your free time, it can be a confusing and trying affair.
Here’s a good way to determine if a monitor is quality or not: listen to the experts. PC World is about as expert a source as you can get, and they just gave two awards to ViewSonic’s line of 19-inch flat-panel monitors. Their VP930b was given the coveted Editor’s Choice prize, coming in first in their rankings of the top ten monitors overall. You can’t get much better than that. It was praised for it’s “full range of physical adjustments” and its “excellent screen-adjustment software.” Whatever, you just now know that this is a monitor that the geeks who follow monitors for a living use when they work. What more can you ask for?
