Vinyl of the Week - Burnin’ by Bob Marley and The Wailers

burnin

When you think about reggae music, Bob Marley is the first artist that comes to mind. Bob Marley brought reggae music to an international audience, and his massive catalog of work is nothing short of brilliant.

Universal Music group recently released the critically acclaimed Burnin’ on vinyl and they gave it the special treatment. This is no standard vinyl. It is a heavy 180-gram vinyl disc, so it is of audiophile quality.

This album was the one that catapulted Bob Marley and The Wailers into international fame. It spurred hits such as “Get up, Stand up” and “I Shot the Sheriff“. It was also the last album Peter Tosh recorded as part of The Wailers before departing for his own very successful solo career.

Burnin’ on vinyl is highly recommended.

Keep spinning.
