Her pleasant voice and bouncy pop tunes are a good way to add a little warmth to these dreary winter days. If you need a little extra audio sunshine, check out the latest by Kristin Hersh, Learn To Sing Like A Star. It’s already being described as ‘indie-rock symphony.’

For a little of that old school rock feel, Freedom’s Road by John Mellencamp might be just what you need. It’s got that down-home classic rock sound Mellencamp made famous, mixed with a lot of Woody Guthrie-style American folk. Another good choice for bright, melodic pop-rock is the new Shins album, Wincing The Night Away.
