Xbox 360 Gets Elite

XBox 360 Elite

If you’re thinking about investing in an Xbox 360, you might want to wait a bit. It looks like Microsoft is planning to unleash a new version of their popular console, dubbed the Xbox 360 Elite. What makes the new version so elite, you ask? Well, the most noticeable difference is the slick black paintjob, although a new color alone wouldn’t be worth much notice. No, it’s what’s inside that counts.

In addition to the new ninja stylings, the Elite gets a huge 120GB hard drive, 6 times larger than the 20GB HD that comes on the top Xbox version currently. It also upgrades to HDMI out, giving you the best picture and sound quality possible when connecting to HDTVs and surround sound setups. The price is sure to jump up with it, but if you plan on using the Xbox as a media center as well as as a gaming rig, you’ll really appreciate that extra space and the boost in quality. So hold off, save your pennies for another couple months, and get ready to become Elite.
